- Amenano Fountain - Catania Italy
I lived in Sicily from 2006 to 2010 - This was taken on one of my first trips to Catania's Piazza Duomo- the church square- this fountain stands guard to the entrance of the daily fish market that is a must see when visiting - the market had just ended, the seagulls were feasting on the leftovers from the day's catch and the sun was beating down - shining through their wings - it was a beautiful sight. Great memories of Sicily.
NOTE: the boy in the center has both his arms here - not long after this photo was captured, one of his arms was missing. :(
